Objective:
Design a logo for the Ordnance department of a manufacturing facility.
Challenge:
Creating the logo on-site presented some challenges, such as being limited to basic fonts preinstalled on the computer due to company firewall restrictions. Despite these limitations, I was able to use Adobe Illustrator to create a unique and impactful design.
Process:
To achieve the desired effect, I chose to use Franklin Gothic Heavy font and added a backwards slant to it, as well as some extra weight to increase its visual impact. I incorporated a gun sight into the letter "O," with the letter serving as the center point. The horizontal bar in the letter "A" was replaced with a bullet, which also created negative space in the letters "C" and "E." This approach resulted in a visually striking and memorable logo for the Ordnance department.
